Your library needs you!
Our gladiators have been busy making a display for our library. We thought carefully about the adventures you can go on by reading a book. We went to our local library after school to find different adventures we could go on. We took turns in reading extracts from the books we found. We made a display for our school library

Megan’s Marvellous Mouth-watering Marshmallow Minty Mega Munchy Mix
Snodland Reading Gladiators have probably enjoyed this challenge the most out of all the challenge's so far. Here is our very own Megan showcasing our taste-tingling design for Mr Alfonso Glory - 'Megan's Marvellous Mouth-watering Marshmallow Minty Mega Munchy Mix.' Of course we had to make it - just to make sure it was as delicious as we'd hoped. We don't think Betsy and Mr Tiger will be disappointed!

Mini-Challenge
Snodland Reading Gladiators had great fun role-playing Detective Gordon and Buffy as they wrote their team police report about the stolen nuts (complete with cake crumbs from their 'morning cakes' and of course their special stamp which they moved a little to the left, a little to the right......Kla-DUNK!).

Detective Gordon: The First Case
Snodland Reading Gladiators have really enjoyed reading their latest book and sharing it with our new Reading Dog, Zoey. She is in this picture but looks like she’s been cropped off the bottom – sorry!

Mini-Challenge
Year 2 Gladiators threw themselves into their mini-challenge with great enthusiasm! They each made their own paper pocket for Mrs Noah's cloak and filled the pockets full to bursting with maps, weather warnings, mythical beast designs and lists of food and supplies for the creatures on board the Ark. Elise was our Mrs Noah and modelled the completed gown beautifully.

Mrs Noah’s 🧥
We have designed a jacket for Mrs Noah with many pockets! We thought about the animals she rescued and some key phrases we thought were relevant to the story.
We have really enjoyed our first book and really loved the colours in the pictures.Comments

Troublesome Creatures
Our Gladiators designed some fantastic mythical beasts and troublesome creatures. They thought carefully about their habitats and plotted them carefully on their map of Mythico Woods.

Mrs Noah’s Pockets
Our Year 2 Reading Gladiators thoroughly enjoyed reading their book today and annotating drawings of Mr and Mrs Noah with characteristics. A heated debate followed of which ‘troublesome’ creatures they would leave behind!
