Experiencing life with no colour!
We used torchlight to read in a dark room. This helped us to think about faces with no expression and living on an island with no colour.

30th Nov 2017, 11:46amWe often underestimate how powerful our expressions can be in giving people messages. I wouldn't like to live in a world with no colour. -
Wendell’s magic hands
We used our torches, like Wendell’s hands, to pick out colour in the dark. When we saw the plant in the light it made us think of Wendell and Opal escaping through the castle gardens.

Wendell’s World
When we finished reading Grey Island Red Boat, we discussed where we thought Wendell and Princess Opal might be travelling to. This led us to think, once again, about the island that Wendell came from. Some of the Gladiators chose to draw their ideas – one island even has a Christmas tree that is newly decorated every day!

24th Nov 2017, 6:06pmA never ending Christmas tree! Now that sounds wonderful, but would it feel as magical on the 365th day as it would on the 1st day? You've given us something to think about. Lovely drawings everyone. -
