Posting an Update

We love to hear how Reading Gladiators are responding to the challenges and we know that schools like to read each other’s posts. Updates are a way of keeping us up-to-date with your news and they are a great source for sharing ideas too.  As we get ready for this year’s challenges, we are excited to see your first updates. It would be lovely if everyone could post a welcome  message from their group.  We will be selecting an Update of the Month at the end of September with a chance to win £100 of books for your class or school library.

If this is the first time that you have posted an update on the Reading Gladiators website, here’s a run through with pictures to help.

  1. Make sure you are logged in
  2. Click manage updates in the top menu bar
  3. This brings up this screen. Underneath the pale blue rectangle are the links to the challenges that you can take part in.   If you are only registered for one year group, you will only see one link here.

When you click the link it will bring up this page:

If you are using a mobile device, you can take a photograph, add a title and a short description, then click the green button to send the post to the website.

Please leave the update as a draft as this alerts us that there is a new update awaiting approval, we can then read and respond.

If you are using a laptop or desktop, you can use an image from your picture library instead of taking the photo. Like this

That’s all there is to it!

Your update will automatically appear in the correct challenge.

We try to comment on all the updates but please leave them in draft format so they are flagged up and then we won’t miss them.

You can comment on each other’s posts too. Do share them with the children too.

Happy posting everyone!
